Video Hub Experience

B2C, SITE EXPERIENCE / LATE 2021  / MY ROLE: PRODUCT DESIGNER, UX/UI

Video Hub Experience

Background 🔎

The Video hub experience is a standalone page that Minute Media use for her brands and offers to partners in order to showcase video content in their sites. The page is designed around the video experience and is customizable per site to provide a native look and feel. The Video Hub Experience is fully responsive and support all screen sizes.

Goal 🏆

The video hub goal was to expand our offering to meet industry standards by adding a distinct section used to host and display the partner’s video content library, while showcasing a new and engaging user experience. We were hoping this will help us onboard new partners, deepen relationships with our current partners, and reduce churn.

Challenges 🧠

The video hub experience was not developed in-house and is not a part of Minute Media's publishing platform. We wanted to create a unique page without relying on our existing components. That was giving me, as a designer, the freedom to design anything I wanted. On the other hand, the development took much longer time and there was still things I had to compromise on after communicating with the devs.

A DEDICATED TEMPLATE FOR VIDEO EXPERIENCES WITHIN THE SITE

One design, fits them all 🥳

While designing the video hub page, I had to think of a template that can fit any brand only by changing the colors and fonts. I had to consider many different kind of "edge- cases", for example: videos with a longer title vs. short title, videos with description vs. videos without one etc.

Responsive Design

I designed the theming tool in 3 breakpoints, to fit mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Final Design

The video hub page is live on The Players' Tribune's website.
